Signal Repairs

E48-32 on the screen? We’ll find the real fault

Pixelating picture, “searching for signal” or a full E48-32 error — we trace the fault from dish to decoder with a calibrated meter and fix the actual cause, not the symptom.

What’s included

Diagnosed with a meter, not a guess

A signal fault can hide in the dish, the LNB, the cable, a connector or the decoder itself. We test each link in the chain with meter readings you can see, so you know exactly what failed and why.

  • Full signal-chain diagnosis — dish, LNB, cabling, connectors and decoder
  • Meter readings you can see, at the dish and at every viewing point
  • Dish realignment to IS-20 where wind or storms have pulled it off target
  • LNB and cable replacement for water-damaged or failed components
  • Weatherproofed connectors so the same fault doesn’t come back
  • Same-day response for urgent no-signal faults, 7 days a week

Why signal fails

Storms take the blame, connectors do the damage

Heavy rain and thick cloud absorb satellite signal, so short dropouts in a severe storm are normal — they affect everyone. But if your picture pixelates in light rain, or the signal doesn’t come back after the storm, your installation is marginal: the dish alignment, LNB or connectors no longer have enough headroom.

The most common culprits we find are water ingress in badly sealed F-connectors, cracked or waterlogged cable, and dishes that have crept a few degrees off target. All of them are fixable in a single visit.

Quick answers

Signal fault questions

E48-32 means the decoder is receiving no signal at all. Common causes are a dish knocked out of alignment, a failed or water-damaged LNB, broken or waterlogged cable, or a loose connector. We diagnose from dish to decoder and fix the actual cause.

Brief dropouts in severe storms are normal, but pixelation in light rain means your dish alignment, LNB or connectors are marginal. A well-aligned dish has enough signal headroom to ride out most weather.

Urgent no-signal faults get priority. Call before midday and we can reach most Gauteng suburbs the same day — and we attend signal faults seven days a week.
